Senior Practice Manager – Radiology Scheduling

About the role

The University of Miami Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Senior Practice Manager to lead the scheduling operations for the Desai Sethi Medical Center Radiology Department. This full‑time, onsite position oversees complex imaging exam coordination, ensures high‑quality service, and supports a high‑volume call environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily scheduling workflow for Interventional Radiology, managing 70‑100 inbound calls per day.
• Generate and deliver pending order and scheduling reports to Radiology administration.
• Monitor call volumes and agent performance using the EGAIN web‑based system, providing weekly QA reports.
• Assist the supervisor in implementing new scheduling techniques, conducting performance‑improvement meetings, and completing employee evaluations.
• Provide leadership, orientation, and ongoing education to new scheduling staff.
• Edit UCHART/EPIC Radiant templates as needed and ensure accurate documentation.
• Schedule complex imaging exams across multiple modalities and sites while maintaining departmental abandonment and quality‑audit goals.
• Coordinate with physicians and facilities to obtain necessary clinical information for exams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in radiology or medical imaging scheduling, preferably in a high‑volume environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to train and evaluate staff.
• Excellent attention to detail and familiarity with medical terminology.
• Ability to manage multiple computer applications and meet service‑level targets.
