Senior Practice Manager

About the role

The University of Miami Health System seeks a Senior Practice Manager to lead daily operations of its outpatient practice. The role oversees patient scheduling for clinics and surgeries, develops and trains staff, and ensures the practice runs efficiently and meets patient‑access goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates the activities of office and clinic personnel.
• Approves time and attendance records and oversees hiring, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
• Sets performance goals, evaluates staff, and provides training and development.
• Ensures efficient patient scheduling, access, and satisfaction for clinics and surgical services.
• Develops and maintains inventory control systems and ensures compliance with university policies and third‑party contracts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in practice or operations management.
• Proven ability in operational management, organizational development, financial oversight, and team leadership.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
