Senior Practice Manager – Healthcare Operations

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Human Genetics is seeking a full‑time Senior Practice Manager to lead daily operations of its clinical practice. This hybrid position in Miami ensures efficient patient scheduling, staff coordination, and high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate office and clinic personnel activities.
• Oversee patient scheduling for clinics and surgeries, ensuring timely access.
• Manage hiring, transfers, promotions, terminations, and staff evaluations.
• Develop and maintain job descriptions, set performance goals, and conduct training.
• Implement inventory control for supplies and materials.
• Handle employee, patient, and physician relations and resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with University policies, HIPAA, and third‑party contracts.
• Maintain clinic schedules in UChart and track visit data.
• Create on‑call calendars and duty rosters.
• Verify accurate CPT coding for services.
