Senior Policy Coordinator

About the role

The California Pan‑Ethnic Health Network (CPEHN) is seeking a full‑time Senior Policy Coordinator to advance health equity across California. You will lead policy research, analysis, and advocacy while supporting community partner networks.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct national, state and local policy research and analysis, including qualitative and quantitative data.
• Develop written policy reports, recommendations and presentations with a racial and social equity lens.
• Provide technical assistance and capacity‑building presentations and trainings for local partners.
• Organize meetings, trainings and advocacy engagements both virtually and in‑person, handling logistics, agendas, facilitation and follow‑up.
• Develop and maintain authentic relationships with CPEHN’s community network.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of professional experience in health policy, social work, public policy, health equity, community health education or related fields.
• 2‑4 years of professional or lived experience addressing health and social issues impacting historically oppressed or disadvantaged communities.
• At least 1 year working with a community‑based non‑profit organization.

Required skills

• Experience conducting policy research and analysis with a racial and health equity lens.
• Experience working with community partners to support policy advocacy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong writing, proofreading and editing skills.
• Experience scheduling, managing electronic files and other administrative tasks.
• Event management experience, especially virtual logistics (Zoom, creating programs and agendas, outreach and relationship management with speakers).
• Cultural humility and understanding of issues impacting all communities of color.
