Senior Policy Analyst

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Senior Policy Analyst in Bethesda, MD to support its customer onsite. The role supports Government Leads in developing counterintelligence (CI) policy and strategy, and helps shape national security policies and priorities through interagency assessments and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Support Government Leads in developing counterintelligence policy and strategy, and promote and communicate shared vision, mission, values and goals.
• Help prepare multiple interagency CI strategic assessments to gauge how well the intelligence community and the U.S. government are positioned for the future environment, including integration, process optimization and scheduling tasks such as collecting monthly reports, drafting meeting minutes and updating policies and SOPs.
• Review documents for technical corrections and edits in Congressional actions and testimony, budget presentations, issue papers and talking points.
• Assist in assessing intelligence capability needs, opportunities and gaps to link resources to strategy.
• Conduct analysis to identify issues and trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in social, political, physical or natural sciences, humanities, engineering, mathematics or another field directly relating to strategic planning and evaluation; or equivalent experience (BS+ 18 years, MS+ 10 years, or no degree with 24+ years).
• TS/SCI with Poly level clearance.
• Extensive knowledge of intelligence community organizations' missions and their national-level strategies and policies.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including advising organizations on performance evaluation methods and working collaboratively across the intelligence community.
