Senior Platform Engineer (DevSecOps)

About the role

CACI is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join its DevSecOps team in Denver. The engineer designs, builds and scales applications and technologies, enabling a multidisciplinary team to deliver a mission-critical cloud-based force protection system with a Digital Twin environment. The role works closely with RF hardware engineers, system designers and other stakeholders, and requires a self-motivated technical leader comfortable in agile settings. Minimum clearance to start is TS/SCI, and up to 10% local travel is expected.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support services using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or similar.
• Build, optimize and maintain production-grade CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or Jenkins).
• Build and maintain automation scripts and configure application gateways and other cloud protective controls.
• Manage compute, storage, networking and database services across cloud environments while following security and compliance frameworks.
• Integrate testing into pipelines with other engineers and subject matter experts.
• Enforce security best practices for system implementations and data privacy.
• Provision Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes environments in cloud, data center and edge settings.
• Run trade studies to choose open-source, commercial or government solutions, and help scale existing platforms.
• Work with Security to maintain compliance and develop secure solutions.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of experience, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of cloud/infrastructure engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift, AWS, GCP or Rancher.
• Production Kubernetes cluster experience supporting processing workloads.

Required skills

• Expert Terraform or similar IaC skills.
• Containers (Docker, Podman) and CI/CD (GitLab or Jenkins pipelines).
• GitOps (ArgoCD).
• Scripting and programming.
• Desired: Linux/Red Hat, Digital Twin systems, Elastic Stack, continuous monitoring and automated security tools.
