Senior Plant Operator – Biogas Facility

About the role

Mobius Renewables is seeking a Senior Plant Operator to lead daily operations and maintenance of its biogas facility. The role combines hands‑on technical work with supervisory responsibilities, ensuring safe, efficient production of renewable natural gas.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily maintenance and operation of the biogas plant.
• Supervise and verify contractor work, ensuring permits and safety compliance.
• Maintain the gas collection system to maximize biogas quantity and quality.
• Perform both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks, including equipment calibrations, preventive maintenance, control‑system loop checks, electrical and pump repairs, instrumentation troubleshooting, analyzer replacement, and compressor tear‑downs.
• Complete maintenance logs in line with the facility operating plan.
• Manage facility inventory of materials and spare parts.
• Assist with administrative duties such as expense reporting, procurement, and production forecasts.
• Coordinate with the landfill operating team and promote plant safety and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Willingness to be on‑call and work holidays/weekends as needed.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electro‑mechanical systems, machine repair, and operation.
• Successful completion of the “Senior Operator Qualification” assessment.
