Senior Payroll Tax Analyst

About the role

The Senior Payroll Tax Analyst will act as the subject‑matter expert for payroll tax compliance across all Inspire entities. Working from our Atlanta Support Center, you will partner with Payroll, HRIS, Finance and external vendors to ensure accurate tax setup, reporting and filings.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end payroll tax compliance, including jurisdiction setup, taxability determination and regulatory adherence.
• Validate tax configurations in Workday, maintain jurisdiction codes, rates and locations, and apply updates before payroll runs.
• Collaborate with third‑party vendors to ensure timely tax deposits and accurate filings.
• Manage the submission and reconciliation of tax interface files to the TPA on periodic, monthly, quarterly and annual cycles.
• Lead the annual W‑2 audit, process corrections, and complete Bureau of Labor Statistics reporting.
• Reconcile payroll tax data to the General Ledger, creating journal entries for cash and tax liability accounts.
• Handle agency notices, inquiries and audits, and register new business jurisdictions as needed.
• Produce and analyze payroll tax reports to support compliance and audit readiness.
