Senior Organizing Manager

About the role

The California Pan‑Ethnic Health Network (CPEHN) seeks a full‑time Senior Organizing Manager to lead statewide coalition building and advance health‑equity policy. The role is based anywhere in California with regular in‑person engagement across the state.

Key responsibilities

• Lead coordination of CPEHN’s statewide coalition, maintaining relationships, recruiting new members, and facilitating convenings.
• Plan and facilitate inclusive meetings with community partners to ensure diverse voices shape advocacy.
• Implement multi‑level organizing strategies and advocacy plans within health‑policy coalitions.
• Grow network membership through relational organizing while deepening existing grassroots ties.
• Shape policy‑prioritization processes and support development of strong policy agendas.
• Supervise organizing staff, building their strategy and organizing skills.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of community‑organizing experience, preferably in a nonprofit or community‑based organization.
• Minimum 3 years working on issues affecting communities of color.
• At least 2 years of direct supervision experience.

Required skills

• Experience leading organizing strategy within coalitions to achieve legislative goals.
• Familiarity with California health policy and budget processes.
• Ability to build relationships with legislators, community members, and grassroots partners.
• Strong facilitation skills for both in‑person and virtual events.
• Cultural humility and understanding of issues impacting diverse communities.
