Senior .NET Developer (Fintech)

About the role

Social Discovery Group (SDG) is a group of social discovery companies whose products help people connect online across cultures and regions. Its international team of digital nomads works remotely from around the world. SDG is looking for a Senior .NET Developer (Fintech) to build and maintain backend services for payment processing and the back office.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for payment processing and the back office: reconciliation, payouts, fee calculation, settlements and the B2B client dashboard.
• Build resilient integrations and asynchronous workflows (idempotency, outbox/inbox, sagas, retries, deduplication).
• Meet performance and reliability targets (p95/p99 latency, SLA/SLO), set up monitoring and alerting.
• Use AI agents to deliver tasks: validate the generated code, add tests and fix defects.
• Review code, keep specifications up to date and share knowledge with the team.

Required profile

• 5+ years of commercial experience with C# and ASP.NET Core.
• Experience designing microservices.
• Real experience delivering tasks with AI tools or agents, from task definition to a working result, with clean, testable code and ownership of results.

Required skills

• Azure, Docker, AKS, MS SQL Server, MongoDB and Cosmos DB.
• Nice to have: payments or banking background, spec-driven development, product or startup experience, mentoring or technical leadership.
