Senior Model Based Systems Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Model‑Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support the DEVCOM Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering, and Integration Directorate (S3I) at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. The position focuses on the Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) and involves full‑lifecycle development using an agile‑scrum process.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain MBSE models for the MLRS.
• Lead and participate in requirements and design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and other management discussions.
• Execute the software development life‑cycle tasks including requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, testing, documentation, and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure model integration within the digital engineering platform.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with nine or more years of experience (or four years of experience in lieu of a degree).
• Active Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Proven ability to work independently across the software development life‑cycle.
• Demonstrated ownership of projects and achievement of schedule and technical goals.
• Strong communication skills to influence diverse audiences on digital concepts.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Cameo/MagicDraw, Teamwork Cloud, and Cameo Collaborator.
• Experience with IBM DOORS for requirements management.
• Knowledge of SysML, UML, and the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
• Background in Object‑Oriented Analysis and Design methods.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps for requirements support (desired).
