Senior ML Engineer (MLOps)

About the role

Lyra Health, a provider of evidence-based mental health care serving millions of people worldwide, is looking for an experienced Senior ML Engineer to build the tooling and services needed to deliver ML and generative AI products. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, leads cross-functional projects and mentors other team members.

Key responsibilities

• Build tooling and services that power machine learning and generative AI solutions in production
• Develop training and inference platform services
• Build the model evaluation metrics and testing framework
• Build services that expose machine learning and AI products
• Deploy and manage applications that support the AI/ML software development lifecycle

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience deploying ML/AI solutions in production environments
• Ability to write high-quality code in Python
• Experience building RESTful APIs and defining and using Protobuf messages
• Experience with Docker and deploying applications to Kubernetes
• Experience with relational and low-latency databases
• Experience working with Celery
• Preferred: RAG and vector database experience, Java/Kotlin production code, AWS cloud infrastructure, and handling sensitive healthcare data
