Senior ML Engineer

About the role

Social Discovery Group is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development of large language model (LLM) products that enhance user interaction, retention, and monetization across its social discovery platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Define ML strategy, selecting strategic bets aligned with business needs.
• Drive end‑to‑end LLM post‑training, fine‑tuning, and preference optimization.
• Design and build agent harnesses and tool‑using LLM systems.
• Create multi‑agent workflows, evaluation frameworks, and LLM‑as‑judge systems.
• Improve dialogue quality, safety, and anti‑loop behavior, and ship production systems.

Required profile

• Expert‑level Python programming (clean code, typing, async, multiprocessing, profiling, debugging).
• Deep experience with transformer models, LLM training/fine‑tuning, and preference optimization techniques.
• Ability to build and clean datasets for LLM training, including synthetic data and hard‑negative mining.
• Strong understanding of production ML integration, observability, and MLOps basics.
• Fluent Russian and availability to work CET (±2) hours.
