Senior Mechanical Engineer Internship – Medical Devices

About the role

Voltas is seeking an on‑site Mechanical Engineer Intern to support the design and development of medical devices. You will work closely with cross‑functional R&D, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to bring concepts to prototype and production.

Key responsibilities

• Generate concepts, create and refine 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Participate in weekly prototyping cycles and assist with testing and data collection.
• Support design‑for‑manufacturability analyses and design reviews.
• Document design decisions and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers on timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong foundation in mechanics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Hands‑on experience or coursework with CAD tools for 3D modeling and drafting.
• Interest in medical‑device development and regulated industries.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
