Key responsibilities
- Set the user research strategy and quarterly roadmap, translating business and product priorities into focused research initiatives.
- Synthesize complex research findings into compelling narratives and artifacts that shape product strategy and drive decisions.
- Lead strategic, highly ambiguous research projects, especially around how legal professionals evaluate, interact with and build trust in AI workflows.
- Manage a small, high-performing team, clarifying roles and expectations and reinforcing performance, research quality and accountability.
- Set a high bar for rigorous research, thoughtful critique, curiosity and customer empathy, and help the team choose the right qualitative or quantitative method.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing and Data Science to bring customer evidence into key decisions.
- Build self-service frameworks, AI-enabled tools and operational systems that scale the research function.
Required profile
- At least 8 years of user research experience, with a track record shaping product strategy for complex B2B SaaS, enterprise, data-heavy or regulated products.
- Experience elevating research practice and mentoring researchers, including leading or managing research team members.
- A portfolio or body of work showing how research shaped product outcomes, such as personas, journey maps and empathy maps.
- Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions; Everlaw does not sponsor F-1 visas, including OPT, for this role.
Required skills
- Mixed-methods research combining qualitative discovery, quantitative methods and product analytics.
- Exceptional synthesis and storytelling skills, able to turn complex data into narratives that influence executive decisions.
- Ability to translate complex business problems into structured research plans and to operate in ambiguity.
What we offer
- Expected salary range of $195,000-$246,000, with eligibility for equity.
- Medical, dental and vision coverage, flexible spending accounts, mental health membership, paid parental leave, and life and disability insurance.

- 17 paid vacation days, 11 federal holidays, paid sick leave, four additional paid days off per year, and a learning and development budget.
- Hybrid work, monthly home internet reimbursement, desk setup stipend, catered lunches and company events.
