Senior Manager, Structures

About the role

REGENT is scaling its breakthrough Seaglider vehicle from prototype to full production. The Senior Manager, Structures will lead the functional home for structural engineering, ensuring safety, certification readiness, and high‑quality analysis across programs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and mentor the Structures team, conducting 1:1s, career planning, and skill‑gap identification.
• Define and enforce structural analysis standards, documentation, configuration control, and review processes.
• Own structural substantiation and certification artifacts, including margin documentation and allowables basis.
• Drive the composites knowledge base, managing laminate design, testing needs, and design‑value roadmaps.
• Manage cross‑functional interfaces with Loads & Dynamics, Flight Physics, and Manufacturing, ensuring consistent load application, FEM fidelity, and design‑for‑manufacturability.
• Define test plans, run building‑block test programs, and close the loop between analysis predictions and test results.

Required profile

• Deep hands‑on expertise in aerospace structural engineering, both composite and metallic structures.
• Proven functional management experience with hiring, development, and performance responsibilities.
• Extensive experience with composite laminate design, analysis methods, and related manufacturing processes (autoclave, infusion, OOA).
• Strong background in structural FEA tools, preferably Nastran, and ability to build and interrogate detailed models.
• Direct experience supporting certification or classification programs, understanding structural margins and safety factors.
• Demonstrated ability to work at the structural‑loads interface and to build cohesive technical teams in a matrix environment.
