Senior Manager – Operations Storage Management

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Senior Manager to join its Data Protection Services team in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a hybrid role with at least three days a week in the office. You will lead a global engineering team of about 10 professionals through a technological transformation, using cutting-edge data protection technologies, and directly shape the security, operations and effectiveness of MMC's data protection infrastructure worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a global team of around 10 experienced professionals delivering Data Protection services.
• Drive and ensure successful delivery of Rubrik backup engineering solutions.
• Manage all aspects of Data Backup and Recovery services, including provisioning, incident management and compliance.
• Oversee vendor relationships, including negotiations, contracts and management of software, firmware and hardware.
• Manage budgets and financial planning for Data Protection infrastructure, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage the performance and development of staff, and manage vendor specifications and change requests.

Required profile

• 7+ years of technical experience with backup software and infrastructure.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Rubrik.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud backup technologies across AWS, Azure and OCI.
• 5+ years of management experience leading technical teams.
• Proven track record of leading transformational IT infrastructure projects and managing budgets for a global multi-million dollar IT infrastructure.
• Experience deploying infrastructure as code and automation initiatives is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Capacity management and vulnerability patching coordination.
• Technology evaluation and proof of concept (POC) work.
• Building strong vendor and internal stakeholder relationships.

The role is open to U.S. colleagues only. Marsh is committed to hybrid work, with colleagues expected to be in the office or onsite with clients at least three days per week.
