Senior Manager, Global Benefits

About the role

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies (RV Tech) are seeking a senior leader to own and evolve their global benefits programs. Reporting to the Sr. Director of People, this role will be based in Palo Alto, CA, working on‑site at least three days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight of all employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), wellness and family programs.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and lead RFP processes for new benefit solutions.
• Design and execute benefit communication campaigns such as open enrollment.
• Partner with Compensation, Equity, Global Mobility, HR Business Partners, Payroll, Finance, Accounting, Treasury and Legal to ensure seamless administration.
• Configure and maintain benefits technology platforms, collaborating with Workday and HR Shared Services.
• Analyze program performance, recommend enhancements, and align benefits strategy with talent acquisition and retention goals.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing global employee benefits programs in a complex, fast‑growing organization.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on cost‑effectiveness and employee experience.
• Excellent communication skills for both employee education and executive reporting.
