Senior Manager, Executive Communications

About the role

Cohere, a security‑first enterprise AI company, is building an executive communications function to amplify its AI narrative and growth in highly regulated markets. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape how the company’s executives engage with governments, enterprises, customers, partners and employees worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Refine and execute executive communications strategy for high‑visibility opportunities.
• Develop and implement corporate communications plans that align with Cohere’s goals and brand.
• Drive content across speaking engagements, op‑eds, podcasts and executive social media.
• Build and lead a small team of a speechwriter and an external vendor.
• Manage rapid‑response communications and oversee executive forums such as conferences and internal leadership gatherings.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across internal, PR and marketing channels.

Required profile

• 10‑12 years of executive communications experience, preferably in a fast‑growth tech or AI environment.
• 3+ years of people‑management experience.
• Proven ability to give and receive direct feedback with senior leaders.
• Experience with pre‑IPO and policy/regulatory communications.
• Exceptional writing skill, capable of turning complex topics into clear narratives.
• Highly organized, process‑driven with strong project‑management capabilities.
