Senior Manager, Corporate PR

About the role

We are seeking an energetic communications professional with a passion for technology and storytelling to lead our corporate public relations function. The Senior Manager, Corporate PR will join Applied Materials’ External Communications team and shape high‑impact media relations and executive communication strategies that reinforce our position as a market leader in semiconductor equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic PR plans that generate earned media coverage and owned content, highlighting Applied Materials as a critical technology enabler in the AI era.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, organize media roundtables, and drive proactive executive thought‑leadership initiatives.
• Support major corporate announcements such as earnings releases, partnerships, M&A, and manufacturing stories.
• Lead creation of PR assets including press releases, messaging documents, Q&As, and story pitches.
• Identify and manage Tier‑1 speaking opportunities for senior executives and coordinate external communications strategy.
• Collaborate with Government Relations, Investor Relations, Corporate Strategy, and international communications teams to ensure consistent messaging.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in B2B technology, media, or related fields; semiconductor experience preferred.
• Exceptional writing ability to translate complex technology into clear, compelling narratives for diverse external audiences.
• Proven track record in high‑impact journalism, corporate PR teams, or agency environments.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related discipline.
