Senior Manager, Communications (Madison, NJ/NYC)

About the role

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate is looking for a strategic communications leader to shape and amplify the brand’s voice across the United States. As Senior Manager, Communications, you will design and execute integrated public‑relations programs that raise visibility, protect reputation, and drive engagement among consumers, agents, and franchise partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own BHGRE’s integrated communications strategy supporting network growth, brand awareness, and executive thought leadership.
• Craft compelling narratives that position the brand, its leadership, and its agents as trusted voices on real‑estate, lifestyle, entrepreneurship, and design trends.
• Serve as a strategic liaison to senior leaders and broker‑owners, advising on messaging, positioning, and reputation opportunities.
• Lead executive communications, including speaking engagements, op‑eds, events, and thought‑leadership platforms.
• Oversee creation and distribution of franchise‑network communications, ensuring relevance, timeliness, and alignment with brand priorities.
• Drive earned‑media programs across top‑tier, trade, broadcast, business, and consumer outlets to increase share of voice.
• Partner with marketing to translate proprietary insights into news‑worthy stories and manage agency relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading communications or public‑relations functions for a national brand, preferably in real‑estate or a related consumer sector.
• Strong storytelling ability with a track record of creating high‑impact content for senior executives.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, comfortable advising senior leaders and collaborating across multiple teams.
• Data‑driven mindset with experience using analytics to refine communication tactics.
