Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Biologics Discovery

About the role

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the integration, deployment, and lifecycle management of AI/ML models for Biologics Discovery. The role bridges model-ready data and scientific workflows, ensuring reliable, production‑grade AI solutions for discovery scientists.

Key responsibilities

• Build and operate scalable pipelines that deliver model‑ready data to ML, generative AI, and agentic workflows.
• Implement deployment, monitoring, access management, and governance for models across development and production environments.
• Establish versioning, reproducible releases, rollback capabilities, and traceability for data and models.
• Set up observability, alerting, and performance management for AI services and monitor model drift, latency, and resource utilization.
• Partner with data scientists and domain experts to define integration patterns and reusable standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning or related field.
• 4+ years experience operationalizing and scaling AI/ML solutions in production.
• Strong background in Python development for model training, fine‑tuning, evaluation, and serving.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern data platforms supporting AI/ML workloads.
