Senior Licensing Specialist

About the role

The Licensing Specialist reviews and processes producer and agent licensing applications, ensuring compliance with state, federal and corporate regulatory requirements. The role also maintains producer (broker/agent) demographic information, insurance credentials, appointments and licensing records to support compliance and operational excellence. It acts as a subject matter expert on producer licensing requirements and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process producer and agent licensing applications
• Maintain producer demographic information, insurance credentials, appointments and licensing records
• Research and resolve licensing-related inquiries from producers, general agents, marketing partners and internal stakeholders
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of licensing data

Required profile

• 2 years of college or 4 years of business experience
• Knowledge of the insurance business
• Preferred: 2 years of hands-on experience managing and maintaining insurance agent/broker licenses and appointments
• Preferred: knowledge of NIPR, SBS and Sircon applications

Required skills

• Organization and planning skills
• Strong attention to detail
• PC proficiency including MS Office (Word, Excel); cloud application knowledge is a bonus
• Clear, concise verbal and written communication
