Senior Lead Full Stack Developer (Entra ID/API)

About the role

Sparq, a product engineering partner helping organizations modernize in the age of AI, is looking for a Senior Lead Full Stack Developer focused on Entra ID and API work. The role involves designing, building and maintaining secure backend APIs and authentication flows, working remotely or hybrid and within US Mountain Time hours.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure backend APIs using C#.NET Core/.NET 6+ and ASP.NET Core, focusing on authentication, authorization and secure service communication.
• Implement and support Entra ID/Azure AD authentication flows, including OAuth, JWT, managed identities and token-based access patterns.
• Support migration of existing systems to Entra ID and Azure-based identity solutions, and improve API security and application architecture.
• Work with senior architects and engineering teams to align work with security standards, cloud architecture patterns and Azure best practices.
• Use AI tools such as Claude to streamline tasks and share best practices.
• Collaborate with front-end developers using Vue.js, React or Angular on authentication flow design.
• Develop and improve secure service-to-service integrations in distributed or microservices environments.
• Troubleshoot authentication issues across backends and front ends.
• Contribute to technical design, code reviews and system improvements.

Required profile

• Availability to work within US Mountain Time hours.
• Consultative approach and problem-solving skills aligned with client business goals.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools, or a strong desire to adopt them, including a willingness to experiment and champion AI adoption.
• Claude Certified Developer or Architect highly preferred; possible opportunity to become certified as a Sparq colleague.
• Ability to lead, mentor and motivate others, and to influence through leadership, presentations and coaching.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
