Senior Lead Environmental Specialist

About the role

This senior position provides project management and technical oversight for a wide range of environmental science, engineering, construction, remediation, education, outreach, and planning activities at the Maryland Environmental Service headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex environmental projects, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Provide technical oversight for engineering, construction, remediation, and environmental education initiatives.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and supervise professional and technical staff.
• Develop and implement planning activities and services for public and private sector clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, ecology or a related field.
• At least six years of relevant experience, including three years of project management responsibility.
• Valid driver’s license with fewer than five points.
• Authorization to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
