Senior LabWare LIMS SME / Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior LabWare LIMS Subject Matter Expert to lead a critical implementation of LabWare LIMS v8 for a water or wastewater laboratory. The consultant will work closely with laboratory staff, IT teams, internal LIMS administrators, and the LabWare implementation partner to configure, customize, test, and deploy a new LIMS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, customize, and deploy LabWare LIMS modules to meet laboratory and business requirements.
• Lead implementation and optimization of the Contract Lab Template (CLT) and Enterprise Water Template (EWT).
• Integrate laboratory instrumentation and automate data collection using LabStation or similar middleware.
• Develop and customize reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs with Crystal Reports.
• Configure quality management, regulatory compliance, control charting, and stability management functions.
• Support testing activities including unit testing, system testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Troubleshoot technical issues throughout deployment and go‑live phases.
• Provide detailed documentation and knowledge transfer to internal LIMS administrators and IT teams.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, laboratory personnel, and vendor partners.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on LabWare LIMS administration, configuration, and implementation experience.
• Proven track record delivering full‑lifecycle LabWare LIMS projects in regulated laboratory environments.
• Experience with water or wastewater laboratory operations.
• Relevant certifications in LabWare administration or configuration (preferred).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
