About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer with deep expertise in AWS to join our team in Atlanta. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining high‑volume, mission‑critical banking applications in a cloud‑native environment.

Key responsibilities

Design and implement secure, scalable microservices using Java and Spring technologies.
Leverage AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudWatch, API Gateway, SQS/SNS) to deploy and operate cloud‑native solutions.
Integrate messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ for reliable data flow.
Work with relational and NoSQL databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate using Kubernetes.
Maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle, and ensure automated testing and deployment.
Perform application performance tuning, security hardening, and monitoring.
Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams, interacting with stakeholders to deliver features on schedule.

Required profile

10+ years of IT experience with a strong background in banking or financial services.
Hands‑on experience building payments, commercial, retail, core, digital, or treasury banking applications.
Proven ability to develop secure, high‑throughput, mission‑critical systems.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
