Senior IT Systems Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Flexport IT is looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer to support its SaaS-based Collaboration and Endpoint Management platforms. The role covers configuration, integration, administration and support of Google Workspace, Slack, Office365, Confluence, Jira, Okta, Jamf and Intune, keeping them secure, scalable and optimized. It is fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and provide escalation support for the SaaS platforms
• Implement and maintain policies, software deployment, patching and security compliance for Mac and Windows endpoints using Jamf and Intune
• Own the lifecycle management of the core collaboration and endpoint management platforms
• Develop automation scripts and workflows (e.g. Python, PowerShell, Okta Workflows)
• Monitor system health, performance and usage, and resolve or escalate issues proactively
• Collaborate with Security, Engineering, HR and Legal teams, and perform investigations and discovery for Legal and HR
• Assist in vendor management and product evaluations, onboard new applications for single sign-on, and develop technical operating procedures, policies and engineering roadmaps
• Work with the Security team to apply security best practices and provide Tier 3 IT support

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or comparable experience
• 3+ years of experience supporting SaaS collaboration tools and Mac and Windows endpoint management
• Ability to communicate and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of email delivery flow, IT security and IAM concepts
• Understanding of RBAC and permissions models across core SaaS applications
• Scripting and automation experience

The pay range shown depends on location: California $130,000-$172,000, Washington $115,200-$144,000, Colorado $105,600-$132,000, New York City $115,200-$144,000, Illinois $105,600-$132,000. Total rewards include bonus, equity and benefits such as medical, dental and flexible time off.
