Senior IT Project Manager

About the role

HD Supply is looking for a Senior IT Project Manager who manages and oversees medium- to large-scale technology projects, covering scope, costs, schedules, internal staffing, outside vendors and contractual deliverables. The goal is to ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, analyze and manage project plans, schedules and resource forecasts, adjusting them as needed
• Manage project finances and provide justification for costs and budgetary impacts
• Communicate project goals to the team, coordinate activities to hit milestones and give performance feedback
• Identify risk triggers, establish contingency plans and communicate dependencies caused by project changes
• Build relationships with internal customers, third-party vendors and senior management to secure stakeholder buy-in
• Advise management on project goals, prioritization of deliverables and decisions needed for delivery
• Gather, maintain and share lessons learned and feedback with stakeholders and management

Required profile

• Typically a BS/BA in a related discipline, or an MS/MA with 5+ years of experience
• Generally 8+ years of experience in a related field, or 5+ years with a master's degree
• Certification is required in some areas
• Preferred: five years managing technology projects, with SAP projects, custom application development or both
• Nice to have: eCommerce, sales, pricing, merchandising, master data, rebates, financial systems, vendor project management, budget tracking, and direct interaction with senior leadership
