Senior Interior Designer - Hospitality

About the role

A hospitality interior design firm in Naples, Florida is looking for a Senior Interior Designer with 5-10 years of experience. The designer leads projects from programming and space planning through documentation, procurement, installation and construction administration, combining design sensibility with technical expertise, project coordination and client relationship management. The position is full-time, in-office five days a week within a firm of about 20 people.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects through programming, field verification, space planning, furniture layouts, documentation, specifications, procurement, installation and construction administration.
• Develop design concepts, presentation materials, furniture plans and contract documents.
• Research, evaluate and specify materials and products meeting design objectives and applicable codes.
• Conduct site visits and field verification, review shop drawings and RFIs, and prepare field reports.
• Manage FF&E/A specifications and procurement, including orders, merchandise reviews and installation coordination.
• Monitor budgets, schedules and time, and assist with developing project fees.
• Build client relationships, coordinate with consultants and contractors, and keep project files organized.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from an accredited four-year institution.
• 5-10 years of full-time professional interior design experience.
• Portfolio and résumé showing design judgment and project management experience.
• NCIDQ certification preferred.

Required skills

• AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Space planning, furniture planning, material specification and technical documentation
• Construction administration, site observation and installation coordination
