Senior Inspector – Construction Materials Testing

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Inspector to lead quality control, construction materials testing, and special inspections on a variety of projects in Reno. This full‑time, hourly position involves on‑site observation, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform construction observation to verify work aligns with plans and specifications.
• Conduct special inspections such as reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, and masonry.
• Execute field‑material testing including soil compaction, concrete strength, and asphalt density.
• Record daily test results, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings to project management.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accurate measurements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in quality control or construction materials testing.
• American Concrete Institute (ACI) Grade I certification.
• Nevada Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction (NAQTC) Sampling and Density certification.
• International Code Council (ICC) certifications (preferred for reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, masonry).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lb in outdoor conditions.
