Senior Inflight Crew Manager

About the role

American Airlines is seeking a Senior Inflight Crew Manager to lead and support its flight‑attendant teams. You will ensure a safe, high‑performing operation while delivering an exceptional customer experience across the airline’s stations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, engage and recognize front‑line flight‑attendant teams, communicating company initiatives, metrics and goals.
• Act as the escalation point‑of‑contact for flight‑attendants, resolving concerns and providing tools for on‑time departures.
• Serve as the local subject‑matter expert on departmental policies, regulations and the APFA collective bargaining agreement.
• Allocate resources and support teams to meet operational safety and performance targets.
• Promote cross‑departmental communication and collaboration to achieve common objectives.
• Represent Inflight at station meetings and participate in working groups and planning activities.
• Onboard, mentor and coach new Inflight Operations team members.
• Manage new‑hire programs and ad‑hoc projects as a project manager.
• Support the base leader, including participation in on‑call rotations and coordinating terminal assignments for key flights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in a customer‑service environment.
• Prior leadership experience managing a team.
• Strong passion for safety, teamwork and achieving station and departmental goals.
