Senior Flight Dynamics & Avionics Engineer

About the role

Airbus is looking for a Senior Flight Dynamics & Avionics Engineer to act as the hands‑on technical authority for its advanced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platforms. The role bridges aerodynamics, embedded software and real‑flight behavior to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation of VTOL tactical UAVs.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and model UAV flight mechanics, including aerodynamic forces, stability and control response.
• Evaluate performance and control analysis results to support design decisions.
• Serve as the technical authority for flight dynamics and avionics on the Flexrotor program.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in Bingen, WA and Grand Prairie, TX to integrate aerodynamic and software solutions.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineer with proven experience in flight dynamics, performance and control analysis for UAVs.
• Ability to work on both site locations and travel extensively during the initial period.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a hands‑on approach to technical challenges.
