About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s Financial Markets Group is seeking a Senior Financial Markets Analyst to expand analytical capabilities for research using complex data sets. You will work closely with senior staff, compile statistical data, develop exploration tools, and contribute to high‑impact research that supports monetary policy and financial stability.

Key responsibilities

• Directly contribute to research and communicate findings through published reports and presentations.
• Support development of internal policy analysis related to monetary policy and financial stability.
• Provide deliverables that advise the Reserve Bank President, senior leaders, and policymakers via written analysis and presentations.
• Develop and maintain overview materials to educate internal and external stakeholders on key issues affecting financial markets and market infrastructures.
• Foster a collegial and collaborative work environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3‑7 years of experience as an industry participant, regulator, or academic scholar.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to balance multiple projects.
• Commitment to public service.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
