Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

ABB is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst for its Pinetops, North Carolina manufacturing plant. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the analyst provides financial expertise and business support to the plant, analyzing key financial metrics, identifying trends and risks, and partnering with business stakeholders to drive profitability, productivity and better decision-making. The role is onsite at the Pinetops facility.

Key responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
• Perform profitability analysis, including volume mix, material cost and margin variances.
• Lead and support Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
• Monitor cost center performance and analyze variances.
• Prepare financial analyses, account reconciliations and management reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Partner with operations and business teams to improve financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies and governance requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in finance processes and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 6+ years of accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing or factory environment.
• Experience working cross-functionally with operations, supply chain and business leadership teams.
• Work authorization permitting employment with ABB in the United States.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of SAP, Power BI and Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Material costing analysis, BOM and routing reviews, standard cost roll-up and product cost estimation in SAP manufacturing environments.
• Physical inventory verification, cycle counts and inventory reconciliations are a strong advantage.
