Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

Aras is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Financial Planning & Analysis team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will act as an embedded finance partner for senior leaders, turning business and product priorities into actionable headcount, spend, and investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to translate roadmap and staffing priorities into budgets, forecasts, and investment plans.
• Own Budget vs. Actuals reporting, including headcount, software/tooling spend, and consulting/contractor projects, with detailed variance analysis.
• Lead headcount planning, tracking position bridges, requisition status, and early staffing risk visibility.
• Forecast AI spend ramp‑up for R&D and the broader organization.
• Oversee software and tooling spend, maintain a vendor register, manage renewal timing, and provide cost‑benefit analysis for build‑vs‑buy decisions.
• Track consulting and contractor engagements, estimating cost to complete and monitoring burn against plan.
• Drive the annual budget and periodic reforecast cycles, collaborating with department leaders on staffing and spend modeling.
• Deliver data‑driven insights on spend trends, budget risk, and financial health to senior leadership and FP&A leadership.
• Challenge senior stakeholders on spend assumptions and investment trade‑offs, supporting recommendations with data and context.
• Coordinate with FP&A, Accounting, and Procurement to ensure aligned execution and clear handoffs.

Required profile

• 5+ years of FP&A or financial business‑partnering experience.
• Proven experience partnering directly with senior (VP/SVP‑level) leaders.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
• Ability to translate strategic priorities into detailed budgets and forecasts.
• Experience managing headcount planning, software/tooling spend, and consulting engagements.
