Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

The Senior Financial Accountant reports to the Finance Manager - Aftermarket Services and provides operational accounting support for the U.S. AMS business. The role partners with project managers and operational leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting and visibility into project performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project accounting and financial reporting for the U.S. AMS segment, including POC revenue recognition.
• Process monthly and quarterly journal entries such as inventory reserve, warranty reserve, sales commissions, and revenue/COS accruals.
• Execute SAP transactions throughout the month and perform month‑end close activities.
• Reconcile general ledger, inventory, WIP, deferred revenue, and unbilled revenue.
• Prepare SOX controls, periodic financial statements, and management reports.
• Update BPC continuity schedules and liaise with auditors on SOX testing.
• Invoice retrofit jobs per contract milestones and support process improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or equivalent designation preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in project‑based environments.
• Experience with POC revenue recognition, WIP, deferred revenue, and inventory accounting.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance and SAP environment.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
