Senior Engineering Lead – Founding Team

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Lead to join our founding engineering team. You will shape (Re)vive’s technical foundation, build core systems from scratch, and ship quickly to validate ideas in the sustainability, retail, and commerce space.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and iterate MVPs, refining them based on feedback and results.
• Lead the architecture and scaling of core back‑end/platform systems, contributing to lightweight UI when needed.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Data, and Ops to align technology with merchant ROI and consumer experience.
• Define engineering best practices, code quality standards, and collaboration norms as an early engineer.
• Own greenfield builds and re‑architect legacy workflows as the company scales.

Required profile

• 3‑7+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in early‑stage or high‑growth environments.
• Strong back‑end development and platform architecture background, with experience in AWS or similar cloud environments.
• Comfort working across the stack, emphasizing back‑end while contributing to UI as needed.
• Outcome‑driven mindset that thrives in ambiguity and balances short‑term scrappiness with long‑term scalability.
• Collaborative partner able to act as both individual contributor and architectural thought partner.
