Senior Electrical Estimator

About the role

Arden Engineering Constructors, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator for its Electrical Division in Pawtucket, RI. The role prepares accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial, industrial and institutional electrical construction projects and works with clients, engineers, subcontractors, vendors and internal teams through bidding and preconstruction. It leads cost analysis, scope review, value engineering, subcontractor and supplier solicitation and bid strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical cost estimates covering labor, materials, equipment and subcontractor costs.
• Review blueprints, specifications, drawings and documentation to define scope, identify risks and set pricing strategies.
• Work with engineers, project managers, vendors and subcontractors to prepare bids comprehensively.
• Solicit, evaluate and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Prepare complete bid packages and proposals submitted on time and accurately.
• Identify value engineering, cost savings and risk mitigation opportunities.
• Maintain historical estimating data, unit costs and project records.

Required profile

• At least five years of experience in electrical construction estimating, project management or a closely related field.
• Knowledge of electrical construction methods, materials, labor productivity, estimating practices and contract documents.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and project plans.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving and communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with clients, vendors, subcontractors and internal teams while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Technology or a related field preferred; equivalent education, training and experience accepted.
• Experience with commercial, industrial and institutional electrical projects, value engineering, cost analysis and bid preparation highly desirable.
