Senior Electrical Engineer – R&D (Medical Devices)

About the role

CooperSurgical is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced electrical and electronic systems for its IVF and assisted reproductive technology product portfolio. The role sits within the R&D Product Engineering group and offers end‑to‑end involvement from concept through market launch.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver electrical/electronic architecture for complex electromechanical devices.
• Create detailed circuit schematics and perform simulation to evaluate performance and sensitivities.
• Prototype, test, and validate circuits, demonstrating statistical capability for critical functions.
• Debug and refine electrical systems to meet product specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Lead cross‑functional projects, coordinating with external suppliers, development partners, and end‑users.
• Support product upgrades, line extensions, and sustaining engineering activities.

Required profile

• Proven technical leadership in electrical engineering, preferably in medical device R&D.
• Ability to work with limited oversight and manage multi‑disciplinary workstreams.
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with suppliers, partners, and user communities.
• Experience delivering projects on schedule with high impact on product outcomes.
