CNA-Certified Nursing Assistant (Per Diem)

About the role

Monarch Communities Spring Meadows, a senior living community in Trumbull, CT, is looking for compassionate, certified nursing assistants (CNAs) to support residents in their daily lives according to each resident's care plan. The work is led by the community's Director of Health and Wellness and covers personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization and activities. Shifts are day, evening or overnight, paid on a per diem basis.

Key responsibilities

• Provide resident care such as bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding as outlined in the care plan
• Maintain the safety, comfort, dignity and confidentiality of all residents
• Escort residents to meals and activities
• Make sure assigned residents are clean, well-dressed, groomed, safe and fed during their shifts
• Document all services provided to assigned residents during the shift
• Report any change in a resident's condition immediately to the supervisor

Required profile

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Knowledge and experience working with the elderly population
• Dementia experience preferred
• Able to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch, and to lift or carry up to 50 lbs with proper body mechanics
