Senior Electrical Engineer - Compute Hardware

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a senior electrical engineer to lead the development of compute hardware for next‑generation electric and autonomous vehicles. The role involves creating innovative hardware solutions that power vehicle‑level AI and software platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design electrical schematics for automotive, off‑road and defense applications, integrating SoCs/MCUs, power converters (SMPS, linear), memory (eMMC, DDR, NVMe) and peripheral components from concept through production.
• Develop board layouts that support high‑ and low‑speed digital interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, USB, PCIe, MIPI, DisplayPort, Ethernet) and automotive protocols (LIN, CAN, FlexRay).
• Guide PCB layout teams, ensuring compliance with DFx standards and meeting performance, cost, mechanical, thermal and reliability targets.
• Create detailed component block diagrams and coordinate with PCB/PCBA vendors for fabrication and assembly.
• Collaborate with system, firmware, software and integration teams to bring up and validate the platform.
• Define and execute test plans, capture results and document design performance.

Required profile

• Senior‑level electrical engineer with proven experience in compute hardware design for automotive or related high‑performance applications.
• Ability to take designs from concept to volume production while managing cross‑functional collaboration.
• Strong understanding of automotive standards and reliability requirements.
