Senior Director, Strategic Finance

About the role

Greenlight is looking for a Senior Director of Strategic Finance to own company‑wide financial planning, forecasting, and strategic decision support. Reporting directly to the CFO, this leader will shape the financial direction of a fast‑growing fintech company that serves millions of families.

Key responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing strategic finance team, setting priorities and coaching managers and analysts.
• Serve as the primary finance partner to the CFO and executive leadership, influencing strategy, investment decisions, and trade‑offs.
• Own the end‑to‑end financial model and planning cycle, including long‑range planning, annual budgeting, and quarterly forecasting across all departments.
• Deliver detailed custom financial models, scenario analysis, and market insights for product, engineering, marketing, and sales initiatives.
• Conduct variance analysis of actual results versus budget/forecast and provide actionable decision support to executives.
• Prepare and present board‑level reporting and strategic materials.
• Collaborate with Accounting on month‑end/quarter‑end close, audit support, and alignment between FP&A and accounting.
• Lead analysis for potential acquisitions, partnerships, or investment opportunities and present recommendations.

• Proven thought leader with strong people‑management experience.
• Self‑motivated, hands‑on, and comfortable operating as both an individual contributor and a team manager.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and make visible impact on business decisions.
