Senior Director, Global Sourcing & External Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a commercially sharp senior leader to drive sourcing maturity, supplier excellence, and external manufacturing performance for a private‑equity‑backed MedTech company undergoing rapid transformation. Reporting to the VP of Global Supply Chain, you will own the end‑to‑end sourcing agenda across a complex international network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global sourcing, procurement, supplier management and external manufacturing for a $70M+ spend portfolio.
• Build strategic supplier partnerships and modernise procurement processes.
• Deliver measurable productivity targets and cost‑optimisation initiatives.
• Develop and coach a high‑performing global team with five direct reports.
• Establish supplier governance frameworks, KPI disciplines and support NPI, geographic expansion, or M&A integration.

Required profile

• 10+ years of leadership experience in global sourcing, procurement and external manufacturing.
• Proven track record of sourcing transformation in PE‑backed or high‑growth environments.
• Background in medical device, life sciences or regulated manufacturing preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required; APICS, CPIM or CPM certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel globally as needed.
