Senior Director - CTMS Strategy

About the role

Veeva Systems is seeking a senior leader to define and drive the market adoption of its Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) within the Veeva Clinical Operations suite. The role blends strategic vision with hands‑on execution to help life‑science sponsors and CROs manage complex trials more efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies to increase adoption of Veeva Vault CTMS across sponsors, CROs and emerging biotechs.
• Act as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, demonstrating the measurable value of a unified CTMS.
• Partner with sales teams to define target accounts, educate customers, and support strategic sales cycles.
• Represent Veeva at industry events and conferences as the primary evangelist for clinical operations technology.
• Collaborate with product, marketing and services teams to shape CTMS positioning, roadmap and customer success.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic leadership, business development or go‑to‑market strategy within a clinical software/SaaS/PaaS environment.
• Proven ability to move seamlessly between high‑level strategy and detailed execution/project management.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for technical and C‑level audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of CTMS domain and clinical trial operations.
• Experience with decentralized trial trends and risk‑based monitoring.
• Familiarity with GCP, ICH guidelines and regulatory compliance.
• Advanced degree (MBA or related) is a plus.
