Senior Designer (Civil 3D)

About the role

Geosyntec is seeking a Senior Designer with expertise in Civil 3D to support a variety of environmental, civil, and geotechnical engineering projects. The role can be performed on‑site, remotely, or in a hybrid model across multiple U.S. locations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and finalize design plans and details following Geosyntec standards.
• Develop design layouts, grading plans, plan & profile sheets, section views, and detailed drawings for civil infrastructure and geotechnical projects.
• Analyze sketches and input material to determine optimal design approaches.
• Manage the production of drawing sets from creation through markup and modification.
• Collaborate using Autodesk Construction Cloud with other CADD practitioners to ensure quality and consistency.
• Participate in the CAD Action Group to improve standards, workflows, and efficiencies.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in Drafting or equivalent education.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in civil engineering or consulting.
• Strong ability to visualize and translate civil/geotechnical concepts into design drawings.
