Senior Decision Analyst

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Senior Decision Analyst in Pennant Park. Decision Analytics associates turn data into insights that answer key business questions about budgets, priorities and courses of action, building frameworks of metrics that drive business outcomes. The Senior Decision Analyst supports the company's strategic objectives by developing advanced analytics, working cross-functionally with Merchandising, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Online and IT teams, and turning complex analyses into clear insights for business clients and decision makers.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large volumes of data and build dashboards, reports and ad-hoc analyses using tools such as GCP BigQuery, SQL, SAS, R, Python, Jupyter Notebook, Adobe Analytics and Tableau (about 65% of the role)
• Cleanse, validate and test data, and explore new data sources with other analysts (about 10%)
• Support end users, solve problems and troubleshoot issues (about 5%)
• Work with stakeholders, business partners, developers and business analysts to deliver high-quality analytics solutions (about 15%)
• Develop technical competencies and improve systems and procedures (about 5%)
• Monitor data transformations and work with technology teams to fix incorrect mappings, business rules and data deviations

Required profile

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools
• Preferred: Master's degree in a quantitative field or relevant experience; 6+ years of experience in data mining, statistical analysis, auditing and/or forecasting

Required skills

• Data analysis and visualization with SQL, SAS, Tableau, R, Python, Jupyter Notebook, VertexAI and AutoML
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to build KPI frameworks and produce statistical analysis for predictive insights
