Senior Data Engineer

About the role

Join Credit Genie’s Data Platform & Analytics team to own the design, development, and operation of scalable data pipelines and platform capabilities across Snowflake and AWS. As a Senior Data Engineer you will solve complex data problems, ensure data reliability, and enable downstream analytics and product use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reliable batch, streaming, and CDC data pipelines for first‑party and third‑party sources.
• Lead technical design of ETL/ELT workflows, balancing performance, scalability, maintainability, and cost.
• Develop high‑quality SQL and Python solutions for data transformation, validation, and automation.
• Implement data quality, freshness monitoring, alerting, and observability mechanisms.
• Optimize Snowflake workloads, storage, and pipeline architecture for reliability and cost efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve complex production incidents, improving platform resilience.
• Collaborate with Analytics Engineering, Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams to define data contracts and deliver data products.
• Drive engineering standards for testing, version control, CI/CD, documentation, and schema design.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production data systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong technical judgment and ability to work independently.
