Senior Data Engineer II

About the role

The Senior Data Engineer II will design, build, and maintain complex data pipelines and machine‑learning services for LexisNexis USA. The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to translate product requirements into scalable data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily data loads, track updates, and ensure data quality.
• Develop efficient, repeatable code following best practices and naming conventions.
• Write and review detailed specifications for moderately complex system components.
• Fix complex data‑engineering bugs, investigate root causes, and implement process improvements.
• Mentor entry‑level and junior data engineers, providing guidance on methodologies and optimization techniques.
• Design and maintain complex data models and large‑scale ETL workflows for structured and unstructured data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, ML‑based application development, and API integration.
• Proven ability to work in Agile and Waterfall environments and collaborate with stakeholders.

Required skills

• Machine‑learning model development and API integration (RESTful services).
• Design and maintenance of ETL pipelines for large‑scale data processing.
• SQL and NoSQL databases; vector store technologies such as Solr, Elasticsearch, Pinecone.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) with infrastructure‑as‑code tools like Terraform.
• Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• MLOps practices and model deployment frameworks (KubeRay, Triton Inference Server).
