Senior Counterterrorism Analyst

About the role

Amentum provides warning and all-source analytical support to the Defense Combating Terrorism Office of the Department of Defense, producing intelligence on transnational and regional terrorist threats. The Senior Counterterrorism Analyst works on first shift (8 hours per day) and supports the Pentagon, Joint Staff, the TIDE watchlist, the POW/MIA cell and special operations.

Key responsibilities

• Research and analyze data, information and intelligence to produce all-source intelligence products for senior defense officials and Combatant Commands, in line with ODNI and DIA analytical standards
• Produce strategic and operational analysis of terrorist networks, including briefings and DIA-standard products
• Coordinate products within DIA and with other intelligence community partners, meeting formatting, classification and dissemination guidelines
• Work with collectors to close intelligence gaps and support field collectors, including TDY support to partner nations
• Support national and DoD planning, contingency and crisis planning, and special operations
• Review analytic products for rigor and quality, and lead teams in research and analysis
• Respond to customer requests for terrorism information and take part in meetings and working groups

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• 12 years of experience
• TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
• Strong understanding of ODNI ICD 203, 206 and 208
